Sweet Little Curious Fellow

Yesterday's Sunday Gospel read:

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life,
what you will eat or drink,
or about your body, what you will wear.
Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
Look at the birds in the sky;
they do not sow or reap, they gather nothing into barns,
yet your heavenly Father feeds them.
Are not you more important than they?
Can any of you by worrying add a single moment to your life-span?
Why are you anxious about clothes?
Learn from the way the wild flowers grow.
They do not work or spin.
But I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor
was clothed like one of them.
If God so clothes the grass of the field,
which grows today and is thrown into the oven tomorrow,
will he not much more provide for you, O you of little faith?
So do not worry and say, ‘What are we to eat?’
or ‘What are we to drink?’or ‘What are we to wear?’
All these things the pagans seek.
Your heavenly Father knows that you need them all.
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness,
and all these things will be given you besides.
Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will take care of itself.
Sufficient for a day is its own evil.” (Mt 6)

This passage brought a fond and fresh memory of a recent event. 

In the final couple of days of the visit of my friends from Poland last month (this also explains why I kept away from the blog for so long), one of them, Peter, ventured out around my house to try to get some decent macro shots, trying out my macro gear - Canon 100m f2.8 L lens on Canon Eos 5d mark II and Canon Macro Twin Lite MT-24EX. 

With his permission, I present one of the great shots he was lucky to take. This sweet little curious fellow on the rock actually is the size of the half of the fingernail! Yet his gorgeous presence makes me speechless at the masterpiece of God's creation.  The splendor of God's creation does not mean only birds or flowers. Little curious spiders are the part of this splendor also if you dare to have a closer look at their regal attire.

I have added a new feature on this blog. SoundCloud service may be well known already to many of you, for others maybe not so much. This is an internet service where you can upload your sounds, share with others or listen to other people's audio creations. I must admit it adds quite a new perspective to the social communication among people. It adds also a new dimension to my apostolate and relations with my friends and readers. The ability to upload sounds - be it a homily, church song, sounds from real life, audio productions etc - opens up for me an excellent opportunity to share with you audio treasures I have saved on my HDD already and to upload in the future new creations. Cooperation in God's Creation

Just came back from Chief Wanzagi Girls’ Secondary School at Buturu. Went out there this morning to document work we have accomplished there. Saying ‘we’ I mean my workers and myself who were asked by Sisters of the Resurrection, running the school, to help them in construction of their own house (a religious convent with all additional infrastructure) – the very first convent of the Congregation in whole of Africa! And also, to build two new classrooms in Sisters’ continuous effort to develop school infrastructure for the benefit of Tanzanian girls’ and their quality education...

We started the construction works in mid-November 2009 and by the end of April 2010 both projects were fully completed, though we had some unexpected breaks, including my emergency trip to Poland in March seeking medical help for my illness.

Browsing through pictures I was gradually taking throughout the whole construction process till today it amazes me how creative we, human beings, are! From the abandoned cassava field in November last year till (five months later) complete convent compound with underground water tank, solar system, polytanks, full electrical wiring, quality workmanship and finishing...Same with two new classrooms...

I do not want to keep this amazement to myself only, so decided to share some pictures with you, depicting our participation in God’s creation which is unfolding in front of our eyes and will continue to do so with us participating in it till Lord Jesus comes again...
