Time To Say Goodbye...

This is my last post on American soil. In a few hours time I'll head to JFK airport to begin my journey back to where I belong...to Kiabakari. First, to Poland, to my Dad, relatives and friends. Then, to Tanzania, to get back home before Christmas. And after the New Year, I'll get down to work with whatever good people helped me with. We'll see how far it will take me in the realization of the projects lagging behind... I won't worry now, I will not worry then either. The Lord will provide. And I trust in His Mercy!...

I leave USA with feelings of gratitude for many blessings I was enriched with...Everywhere I went, I met so many grand persons, kind, understanding and warm-hearted... Stockton, Los Angeles, San Diego, Chicago, Washington, Princeton, New York and Long Island...

This positive experience has been strengthened with the last stop on this journey, which is St. Ladislaus parochial community, who has been so good to me. Mons. Brian McNamara, Fr. Janusz Lipski and the vibrant parochial community, so rich in its diverse talents and charismas I was blessed to see with my own eyes during the First Sunday of Advent celebrations...

I am so deeply grateful to them for their invitation, hospitality and caring love. In particular Fr. Janusz Lipski has turned out to be my Guardian Angel and a driving force behind this invitation. He made sure that this short stay in his parish would be an extremely positive experience to me. And it was indeed.

Thank you so much, dear Father... May God reward you and Mons. McNamara who kindly consented to the idea of supporting my mission not only in words, but in solidarity gesture of help as well...

Time to say goodbye to you all, folks, in the United States of America... Time to say goodbye to you all, folks, in Canada... Till next time, if and whenever it may be, may God keep you in His loving arms, bless and protect you! Thank you all! And...welcome to Kiabakari!

  1. Wojciech, I wish you a safe return flight and hope that all goes well for you. We have very heavy snow here in Uk so I hope you are not snowed under when you reach Poland. You made the most of your missionary trip to US and Canada despite the 'scar on your heart ' left after Stocktom. It took so much courage to rise above this incident and continue with your endeavours, but thank God you met so many kind and good people during your stay. Krakow will be a sweet sojourn before returning to Tanzania where many tasks will await you but when you get going you sure get going. Safe travelling across the altantic and you can think of us when you are flying over Ireland. You are in our prayers every day.

  2. Arrived safely home this evening, though waiting for 4 hours in Zurich for the connecting flight to Warsaw and then delayed train to Krakow (weather!). Now time to get down to business of replacing my stolen documents, starting from tomorrow morning...

Thank you for your prayers, Lena and the clan! Actually, I was thinking about you, guys, when we were passing south of Ireland. Did you see me waving frantically from my window to you?

Off to bed now, long journey and tomorrow, business as usual. God bless us all!
