Two New Liturgical Features In The Jubilee Year Of Mercy In Kiabakari

Listening to the inner voice of the Holy Spirit, while keeping an eye on the life of the Church worldwide and new and old ways to express our living faith in the Presence of the Lord, I have arrived to the decision to introduce two new liturgical services on permanent basis in our prayer and liturgical life in the faith community in Kiabakari.

The first event which is called - Bible Evening, will be held on the first Tuesday of the month at 5-7pm and in this Jubilee Year we will meditate upon the Parables of Mercy and Psalms of Mercy (first three out of ten Psalms of Mercy to be precise).

The second event will be - Evening of Praise - and will be held on Third Tuesday of each month, also 5-7pm. This year we will praise the Lord in His Presence in the Most Holy Eucharist following His Holy Attributes and Names. It will be an evening of songs, spiritual joy, allowing the Holy Spirit to move us in the praise of God in ways He Himself wants.

These events are open to everyone who wishes to set on the path leading inside the great Mystery of God Whose Mercy Is Infinite.

Welcome! Karibu!

Below are the schedules of both events for this year (May and June are excluded as I will travel for medical treatment and ordination of my compatriot in my home parish in Kraków)

New Year 2015

The last day of the 'old year', December 31, has been always to me a special and opportune time to recapitulate the proceedings of the past twelve months in the eyes of faith and in a quadruple ambiance of prevailing feelings of:

1. Adoration and praise of God,
2. Gratitude to God and people I was blessed to meet, work and interact with,
3. Repentance for what was lacking in me and my service and asking for pardon from God and people I offended, even if not purposefully,
4. Hope and consecration to God's Mercy and Providence for the year to come.

It is no different today. This is exactly how I feel, meditate upon, think about, recollect and pray.

I will not dare to attempt to commit to this post what has happened in the past twelve months of this year. Instead, I will celebrate a special Thanksgiving Mass this evening immersing in Divine Mercy Ocean this year, all people I met, everything that has happened, all that we and I were able to achieve, everyone and everything, with all my hopes, dreams, passions, plans for the next year.

Thank you, Lord! Thank you, all my loved ones, friends, benefactors, readers of my blog and all I met this year! At the same time I ask God and all of you for pardon and absolution for my mistakes, failures and shortcomings.

I wish us all a wonderful New 2015 Year full of God's Love, Light, Power, Joy and Peace. A year full of personal accomplishments and genuine satisfaction.

Applause

One of missionaries in our diocese of Musoma called me the other day, sharing with me his disappointment and disenchantment. He talked for half an hour, complaining that he did so much in his mission, spent so much money, built this and that, brought the Gospel to the people, did this and that...and nobody applauds him, neither bishop, priests, us nor parishioners...

Halfway Through

Today is the last day of the first half of this year of 2010. When I was celebrating the morning Mass in the shrine, I couldn’t but walk down the memory lane looking back at those past six months and what they brought with themselves. Feelings of praise, gratitude, remorse and hope for better filled my heart and mind.
