Today we begin refreshing the main house and the guest house, which means scraping off the old floor paint, which looks awful (didn't repaint it for quite some time, to be honest), then painting walls and floor with new paint. Then removing old curtains which remember (most of them) the second millennium and putting new ones. I asked my sisters for their expert advice on the issue of choice of fabric and colors, so the house can look more homey and cosy. New volunteers are coming soon, so I want to get houses fixed and ready when they come.
Heigh ho, heigh ho, it's off to work we go!
