Lightning

Just came back from one of the outstations. Upon my arrival to the village, people told me about a tragic accident that occurred some tens days ago there. Three boys took shelter under the overhanging of the roof of the chapel as the thunderstorm was about to come down with fury on that area. Unfortunately, recklessly, one of the boys played with his mobile phone, trying to call someone. The lighting struck...


It killed the boy instantely sparing the other two. They were leaning at the side door. The lightning came through the ventilation window from the other side, went through the chapel, hit the door, split the door frame and killed the boy, then came back inside again, went through the chapel and struck the main entrance door, splitting the door frame again... May God have mercy on the soul of this poor boy and accept him in heaven. May he rest in peace!

May the family be consoled by the people of good will and may not find the human hand in this tragic accident which will lead to retaliation and hatred towards innocent people...
