Sense of Belonging

Yes, the sense of belonging is what I felt intensely during the night vigil before Divine Mercy Sunday this year, which - by the Will of God and the Church - has become united with the beatification of the Holy Father who  was instrumental in bringing attention and devotion of the Church and the world to Divine Mercy message. John Paul II beatified Sister Faustina Kowalska, then canonized her and made officially the Second Sunday of Easter time - Solemnity of Divine Mercy, thus fulfilling the will of the Lord Himself which He revealed to Sister Faustina on numerous occasions when He was appearing the her, as described by herself in the Diary...

This sense of belonging was very intense thanks to the modern technology which enabled us to participate live in the beatification vigil in Rome, transmitted worldwide via satellite. We installed big screen in the sanctuary with projector connected to the satellite dish which was set outside the church. All pilgrims were able to watch the vigil proceedings and pray Holy Rosary with the Holy Father and the whole Church in five different international shrines along with millions of believers worldwide.

I was so proud and grateful. We felt strongly that we belong to the Catholic Church of the whole world. It has never happened that we were able to participate live in Kiabakari shrine in the prayer of the whole Church. How wonderful this feeling was! We, in Kiabakari, with pilgrims coming from various locations in and out of Tanzania, connecting in faith with the Holy Father, cardinals, bishops, priests, religious, lay faithful from Rome, Poland, Lebanon, Tanzania, Mexico, Portugal with all countries in the world being able to see the same picture and pray and sing the same songs and prayers as us and everyone else...

True miracle, to say the least. And the second miracle - unexpected sudden rain which came in the perfect moment, on Friday evening and filled miraculously our tanks which were empty. We prayed for rain, as we were facing a nightmare of receiving hundreds and thousand of pilgrims with no water in our tanks! But that one rain changed the situation dramatically and we were rejoicing and jumping high with joy and praising the Lord for this miracle! God is great!

This 3 thousand liters tank was empty before the rain. After one hour - overflowing!
