The title of this post is the term we use to call altar servers and all members belonging to so called Chama cha Wito in parishes - kind of vocational groups for primary and secondary schools, helping them to discover their skills, charismas, talents through sharing with their peers and also - through communal and private prayers - to discover their own vocation in life, be it priesthood, consecrated life, marriage or others vocation in their future adulthood...
Today I have received twenty new members of the Chama cha Wito in my parish, who underwent one year preparation and were ready to enter the group as full members. It was a ay of joy for them and for us as well.
After the Holy Mass we had a fiesta for the in the mission courtyard, with art displays, shows, dances, drams, sketches, dancing competition and the food for all.
As I write these words, girls and boys are leaving the mission, going back home before darkness falls over Kiabakari. They deserved completely this feast as they worked hard the whole year serving at the altar doing various things helping us in many ways. Well done, girls and boys! I'm proud of you!
The link to a few pictures I took today during the fiesta is here. Enjoy!
