Twenty Years Of Butiama Parish
Yesterday, our neighbors in Butiama, celebrated their twentieth anniversary of the birth of their parish. Fr. Maciej Braun, CR - the parish priest of Butiama - asked me to take a few pictures of the event. You can see them here.

Pictures From Construction Sites In Kiabakari
As you know well, for a few months now, three development projects funded by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the scheme of Polish Aid 2013 are being realized in Kiabakari. Here are some pictures of the current state of their completion as posted by Foundation Kiabakari on their Facebook timeline (click here).
Please, continue to sponsor our projects through your kind prayers, well wishes. Keep your fingers crossed as well, humanely speaking. Our aim is to complete all three projects by the end of October, well ahead of deadline which is the end of the year. And this despite continuous problems with water in Kiabakari and drought in Tanzania. I am proud of my construction teams, supervisors and suppliers. Well done, so far.

Against All Odds
No rain, continuous drought, no water in village water pipelines. We are forced to fetch water from drying creek down in the valley in order to be able to push ahead with development projects. I don't remember such a bad situation as this year. Since April no rain whatsoever. I am amazed how we are able to continue with works and reach a promising stage. Against all odds. Please, pray for us and for rain. Here are some pictures from today posted by Foundation Kiabakari on their Facebook timeline (click here).

Serengeti Western Corridor
I would love to share with you a few pictures I took yesterday in Western Corridor of Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, while on the short day trip with my friends visiting me. It was a nice day, though not without problems. Our safari vehicle broke down early in the morning in the park, we had to wait more than two hours for a replacement. Tse-tse flies feasted freely on us the whole day and I cam back home beaten more than a hundred times, I guess. Still, it was a good photo opportunity, even if in this time of the year, migration is far away and one can spot only a few residing animals which do not move with herds. Click here and enjoy the beauty of the land of wonders of Tanzania and its flora and fauna.

Silver Jubilee of Priesthood
Yesterday I had a unique opportunity to see and feel how it may look like next year when I will be celebrating my silver jubilee of priestly ordination. My sisters, Denise and Thomas, frater William and the chairman of the parish lay council, together with myself - drove to Kigera-Etuma village, some 20 km beyond Musoma, in Nyegina parish, to the home village of Father Godfried Maruru, a priest of Diocese of Musoma and my friend, who celebrated yesterday his silver jubilee of priesthood...

Photo Albums
Using spare snippets of time these days of Lent to clear my photo albums on my macbook. Well, sorting out oneself spiritually, morally and physically in this sacred time involves also sorting out, clearing the mess and making some order in the house, clothes, papers, books and photo albums as well...

Lake Manyara National Park
Today we traveled from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park. It took us a while to find Malarone tablets for my friends in Arusha, but we managed to get hold of them in two hours time. We reached the gate of the Lake Manyara National Park by midday and spent some five hours in the park. Then we climbed up the Great Rift Valley escarpment and arrived safely to Karatu town where we spend the night. Tomorrow morning we drive to Ngorongoro crater, then to Serengeti and will arrive, God willing, to Lobo Lodge by the nightfall. Some photos from today safari (click here)...

Safari Pictures
After thirteen hours long safari from Kiabakari to Arusha, with numerous breakdowns of our safari vehicle and brave struggle of our driver to fix broken shock absorber, leaking radiator etc, we finally got home to Moshono, to our SMA hosts' parish. As a pictorial of our journey, please visit the following ink to the pictures I took along the way (click here).
