Being bit quiet this week, no posts since Sunday. Apologies for not fulfilling my hope and promise that I would post lots of pictures from the peregrination of the Jubilee Cross in the parish, but efforts of my specialist who was trying to resurrect the charger of my macbook did not bring any results so far, and I will have to wait for a fruit of the genuine generous gesture of help of one of my best friends from California. Thank you, Lou, for your spontaneous response to this crisis situation!
So, as it takes couple of weeks before the new charger arrives to Musoma Post Office, I will have to use this small Acer 10 inch display backup laptop. The problem is, I cannot download photos from my camera, even from iphone. So the pictures on blog will have to wait a bit longer, unfortunately...
In a few hours time we will set off for the Holy Mass in Nyamika outstation, the penultimate stop of the Jubilee Cross in the outstations of Kiabakari parish. After the Mass, the Cross will travel to Isaba/Busirime combined outstations which will be the last stop in its safari in Kiabakari mission.
Tomorrow afternoon, we will travel for the very last time to celebrate the last Holy Mass in the outstation and then after that we will bring the Cross home, to my house, where in the evening some one hundred people will gather together for the special liturgical service of the blessing of the Holy Water, using the old traditional rite, with exorcisms. I will use this Holy Water to bless the house and all premises of the headquarters of the parish anew. I do this annualy, normally on the Epiphany Solemnity, but this year I wanted to do this when the Jubilee Cross would arrive to my house.
After the service, which will consist of the blessing of the Holy Water, the special blessing of the house and the premises, the sung Divine Mercy Chaplet and the solemn blessing, all present will participate in the dinner I decided to throw in the honor of all who helped me in the successful peregrination of the Jubilee Cross in the parish. They surely deserve recognition, praise and my gratitude.
Then, when all guests will have left the house, we, residents will stay with the Cross for the night vigil. I have a lot intentions to pray for and to thank for...
On Saturday morning the Cross will return to the shrine, the 7am Mass will follow with three couples marrying and lots of children baptized after the sacrament of the matrimony. Then at 10am, the High Mass of the farewell of the Jubilee Cross in our parish will follow, before the Cross travels to Mugango parish in Musoma deanery. We expect some 150 guests attending from outside who will participate in the lunch which will follow after the Mass.
So, the finale of the peregrination of the Jubilee Cross in Kiabakari parish surely looks like a busy and demanding time. Please, keep your fingers crossed, that everything goes well and the whole spiritual exercise ends well with God's blessings!
Praying all the time at the feet of the Cross for you and for all intentions dear to your hearts! God bless us all!
