Momentary Bucket List

Inspired by one of my favorite movies - "The Bucket List", I drew up my own momentary bucket list as I was getting ready to head down to Dar es Salaam for my business trip...

I wrote ten items on my phone reminders' application, things that were the most important among others, and needed my full attention and commitment.

Among them were issues like a resident permit for one of my volunteers, submitting a project for the construction of standard 3 and 4 classrooms with furniture for our primary school, school books for standard 3 and 4 classes, meetings with several persons on various agendas, visiting friends, helping sisters of Resurrection to get the proper channel for their expected shipment from their benefactors somewhere, while at the same time utilizing much faster internet in Dar to update software on my laptop and mobile devices.

After two days of cruising in the city from one place to the other, I managed, alhamdullilah, to tick off six out of ten items on my list. Hoping to be able to finish the rest tomorrow and the day after before I fly back to Musoma to start the finishing works on the largest filial church (outstation, chapel) at Nyakiswa village which has been constructed by my predecessor (when I was in Musoma cathedral at that period of time) and his benefactors, but without finishing touches. So, there is a church with brick walls and tin roof, but no windows, doors, nor plaster, floor, paint etc...

One of my friends in Kraków, as a token of his gratitude to God for his 25th jubilee of priesthood, decided to offer his lifelong savings for the completion of this chapel, as he told me that it was his lifelong dream to build a church in Africa.

So, here we go. His dream is about to be fulfilled along with the dream of my people in Nyakiswa, unable to move forward in their poverty, who will be ballistically happy to get their church finished, painted and ready for the dignified liturgical services...

Please, say a prayer that everything goes through as God wishes! Have a blessed week of prayer for the unity of Christians!
