Big And Small

Jubilees, big and small, coming in thick and fast this year. Apart from the main celebration of the Centenary of Christianity in the territory now called Diocese of Musoma, we get invitation now and then for other jubilee events - be it a Golden or Silver Jubilee of a certain parish in the diocese, be it a Golden or Silver Jubilee of priesthood or religious vows of certain servants of God in the diocese, be it a Golden or Silver Jubilee of the marriage or baptism or the birth of our parishioners. Envelopes with invitation card come thick and fast this year! But today there will be a small exception.

First, I got invitation card for the jubilee of seven religious sisters of Immaculate Heart Sisters of Africa (our diocesan congregation) who will celebrate their Golden or Silver Jubilee later this month. Secondly, they called if they can come first on pilgrimage to Kiabakari. Today. I said - yes, of course!

So, here we are now. Sipping my morning coffee, getting ready to go to the church for the morning confessions and the Holy Mass with Eucharistic adoration as usual on Saturdays here, then the pilgrimage program of those sisters will commence as they will arrive by  foot to the shrine. There will be a spiritual talk I will  give to them as they asked for it, different liturgical services, confessions and the Holy Mass in the afternoon as the conclusion of the day's proceedings.

Please, say  a kind prayer for sisters and myself, so that Holy Spirit may guide and enlighten us today in a special way, and we may be grateful to God for the gift of vocation and our faithful service so far to Him in His Church, asking for the faithfulness till the end, for apostolic zeal, simplicity and joy in serving Lord in others tirelessly and selflessly. I will pray for all of you as always, but today in a special manner. Stay blessed!
