Father's Arms

The first day of the annual celebration of Divine Mercy Sunday in the diocesan shrine of Divine Mercy here in Kiabakari... A day of hiding in Loving Father's arms in His House on top of Divine Mercy Hill... A recollection day in the shrine for all members of parochial community - from Kiabakari Small Christian Communities and from all outstations... Like a day of closing our ranks in the face of gathering troops on the horizon ready to come down upon us starting from tomorrow...not in bad intention, but in their quest for living waters from Divine Mercy Ocean flowing out of this shrine...

This is a day we seek open arms of Merciful Father whose Mercy is infinite... We need to feel that reassuring Father's hug encompassing us in His Love, Mercy and Peace... We come to the shrine as one family of God's children living around this holy place to find ourselves in the Father's secure House... We will detach ourselves from all preparations for the pilgrimage for these 6-7 hours and we will focus on what is most important - our loving and full of trust relationship with the Father through His Son, the KIng of Mercy in the power and unity of the Holy Spirit, born out of their mutual Love...

If we want to offer something valuable to pilgrims who will join us from tomorrow morning, we need to have something valuable in the first hand... That is why we are here today on the top of Divine Mercy Hill in the Father's House... to sit down at Father's feet and listen attentively to His Living Words, to be filled with the Light and Love of the Holy Spirit and to meet Christ in Eucharist - to hold Him tight with love and apostolic passion...

I open my heart so you can place in it yourself and all intentions dear to your heart. I promise that I will pray for you and for these intentions during the recollection day today, in my private prayers, in our communal prayers and celebrations and during the Eucharist which will be the culmination of today's retreat... All this through powerful intercession of Saint Sister Faustina and Blessed John Paul II...

Misercordias Domini in aeternum cantabo!
