Green, Green, Green!

Celebrating the Holy Mass this morning, for the first time since before the Lent season started. I like to vest in green chasuble after Christmas and Easter seasons. It is such a symbolic gesture and the color full of deep meaning. Reminding me of my duty to take care of blessings and special graces I was granted by God in His Holy Church in the just-passed festive season...

Those blessings and special graces are just like seeds that have been carefully planted in my soul by God Himself. They need special care so that they can grow, mature, flourish and bear abundant fruit... That is why, I think, the Mother Church gave this longest season in the Liturgical Year the color of fields, color of life and abundance...

This 'green' season is not a time to rest, holidays from God and Church, not a time to slumber and go into hibernation. It is a time to hear the voice of God - 'green, green, green!' - as in motor racing in United States, to go into turbo mode and speed up work on ourselves and the world surrounding us. Making sure our souls and lives are full of greenness, life and abundant fruit...

To emphasize this deep meaning of 'green' season of the Liturgical Year, we have decided to start our own vegetable garden around the house, preparing place, nourishing it with natural fertilizer and planting seeds and cuttings of various herbs and vegetables...

Also, some innvative modes of gardening, with vertical gardens using sacks filled with soil, fertilizers and loose stone and chinese salad planted all over them. You may be surprised how lovely those sacks will soon look!

So, ladies and gentlemen, Easter is over. Time to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit whom we have just received anew - 'green, green, green!' Get into gear and move on with your spirituality, personal inner work making sure the seeds of God's love in us grow and bear fruit...

Have a nice not-so-ordinary 'green' season!
